• Ceramides are a group of lipids that comprise most of the barrier lipids present in your skin. Your barrier lipids are composed of 50% Ceramides, 25% Cholesterol, 10-15% Fatty acids, and 5% other lipids. Ceramides (NP, AP, EOP) and Cholesterol in this Face Wash are added in a ratio that mimicking skin’s natural barrier lipid, locking in moisture and preventing foreign substances from entering.
• Trehalose: is a type of naturally occurring sugar that’s found in certain plants. It’s synthesized by the plants in response to stresses including drought, salt, and low temperatures. When used in cosmetics, it has antioxidant properties that protect the skin from free radical damage from UV exposure. It works well with other ingredients preventing signs of irritation, mimicking the effects of natural moisturizing and is considered as one of the least hazardous skin ingredients available.
